The objective of the Financial Sector Engagement initiative is to increase the engagement of the banking and finance sector in the no-deforestation discussion. Key components of the engagement include clear and thorough articulation of the challenges and opportunities brought by the transition to deforestation-free supply chains, which is being presented in research report  by Vivid Economics and TFA 2020 partners to be published in mid October 2016. The work of the initiative aims to further improve the ability of financial institutions to use their creativity to solve the technical financial challenges by demonstrating available opportunities that can successfully drive deforestation-free production at scale.
